Hi Arnie. Of course I am going to join Fifdififdi. You asked me how to get more people involved. It is funny becuase I am listening to the recording of the meeting, and I was thinking that all of those people should have their opinions posted. It is just that computers aren't their medium. The kupuna gathering that you are having on the 7th is a great start to start gathering their opinions.
That's a great story. I'm sure that if you were planning on coming to Hawaii, 2009 would be a great time. There are all kinds of activites that are being considered and I'm sure it'll be fun.

I knew I was there for the statehood celebration and wasn't quite sure I could put my finger on the newspaper I had right away, so we Googled Hawaii Statehood. And this site came up! While my mom read outloud from the site, I fished out the newspaper I had and we discovered the discrepancy in dates.
My brother has been back since we left (later in '59), but I have. :( I do have some friends there and will plan a visit at some point.
